Autumn’s Perfect Balance

What is your favorite type of weather?

If I had to live in one season forever, it’s autumn—no question. It just gets everything right. The heat’s gone, but it’s not freezing. No more sweating through clothes the second you step outside, but also no need for heavy winter layers. Just crisp, cool air that wakes you up and makes every breath feel fresher.

And the colours—come on, autumn is undefeated. Deep reds, burnt oranges, golden browns—it’s like nature decided to show off for a few months. Even the sunlight changes, softer and more golden, perfect for capturing those moody, cinematic shots. Everything just looks better in autumn.

Then there’s the clothes. This is the season where style actually matters. The best jackets come out—bombers, wool coats, classic leather. None of that summer T-shirt and shorts nonsense; autumn’s about layers done right. You get to dress well without effort—just throw on a good jacket and instantly look put together.

And the perfumes? This is where autumn beats every other season. Gone are the light, citrusy summer sprays—now it’s about deep, rich, warm fragrances. Woody, spicy, a touch of sweetness—the kind that lingers and actually suits the weather. There’s something about autumn air that makes a good scent last longer.

Autumn is just balance. No extremes, no suffering—just the perfect mix of cool and warm, bright but cosy, stylish but effortless. If I could freeze time in one season, this would be it.

  1. I do love autumn 🍂 for its beautiful colours, wrapping up warm and the thunderstorms. But I think my favourite season would have to be summer. I love just sitting out in the garden listening to the birds and watching the butterflies. 🐦 🦋
