What movies or TV series have you watched more than 5 times?
There’s no point pretending to be cool and quoting Scarface or The Godfather like I sit around sipping coffee, analysing every frame. Don’t get me wrong—I love Pacino and De Niro, but let’s be honest, no one rewatches Oscar-winning, critically acclaimed masterpieces for fun. You watch them once, maybe twice, appreciate the brilliance, and move on.
For me, the real magic of cinema lies in the films that pull you back time and time again. The ones you throw on after a long day, the ones you know all the words to, the ones that take you right back to a feeling, a place, a moment in time. Call them masala movies, call them blockbusters—whatever they are, they just hit differently.
Hollywood Blockbusters That Never Get Old
• Avengers Endgame – If there’s one film I’ve rewatched to death, it’s this. The build-up, the epic battle, the emotions—everything about it is designed to make you feel something. When Cap finally says, “Avengers… Assemble!”—goosebumps every single time.
• The Matrix (Part 1) – The film that redefined action and sci-fi. It never gets old, and each rewatch makes me appreciate its genius even more. The style, the philosophy, the bullet-time scenes—it was way ahead of its time.
• Interstellar – A masterpiece. It’s the kind of film that makes you feel both tiny and infinite at the same time. The music, the visuals, the concept of time slipping away—it’s hauntingly beautiful.
• Notting Hill – Because classic Hugh Grant rom-coms just have a special kind of charm. The awkward British humour, the fairytale romance—it’s pure comfort cinema.
Bollywood Films That Are Timeless
• Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) – No list is complete without this. The ultimate Bollywood love story, filled with nostalgia, drama, and that iconic train scene. It’s more than just a film—it’s a cultural touchstone.
• Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (K3G) – Over-the-top, dramatic, packed with big emotions and bigger performances, but that’s exactly why it’s so rewatchable. Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, Hrithik, Kareena—this film was a moment in Bollywood history.
• Raincoat – A beautifully underrated film that doesn’t get spoken about enough. It’s poetic, melancholic, and lingers in your mind long after you’ve watched it.
• Bajrangi Bhaijaan & Bharat – Salman Khan at his emotional best. These films don’t just entertain—they pull at your heartstrings and make you feel everything all at once.
• Munna Bhai MBBS – One of the funniest, most heartwarming films ever. Munna and Circuit’s chemistry is legendary, and the prison scenes still crack me up.
• 3 Idiots & PK – Rajkumar Hirani just knows how to make films that stay with you. 3 Idiots is a film you can watch at any point in life and take something new from it. And PK—a hilarious yet thought-provoking take on society and religion.
• Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani – A film that captures youth, love, friendships, and weddings in a way only Bollywood can. Beautifully shot, incredible soundtrack, and just one of those films that make you want to go on an adventure.
I could probably go on, but these are the films that I keep coming back to. No film snobbery, no pretentious picks—just the ones that make me feel something, the ones that stay with me no matter how many times I watch them.
