What are three objects you couldn’t live without?
There are things we carry that define us—not just by their function, but by what they represent. Some objects become extensions of who we are, shaping our routines, our creativity, and even our memories. If I had to narrow it down to just three, these would be mine.
1. My Fountain Pen
There’s something about the flow of ink on paper that no keyboard can replicate. Writing is more than just putting thoughts into words—it’s an act of clarity, a moment where the chaos in my mind finds structure. My Filofax and fountain pen are my constant companions, whether I’m jotting down ideas, reflecting on life, or sketching out a new piece for The Narratives. In a world obsessed with screens, this is my anchor to something real, something timeless.
2. My Camera
A photograph is more than an image—it’s a captured feeling, a story frozen in time. Whether it’s my Olympus OM-1 film camera or my Fujifilm XA3 digital, my camera isn’t just about taking pictures; it’s about seeing. The way light falls, the depth of a shadow, the quiet nostalgia of an empty street—these moments pass too quickly if we don’t stop to notice them. Photography isn’t just a hobby for me; it’s how I document the world, my memories, and the fleeting beauty of everyday life.
3. My Apple Devices
Call me a loyalist, but Apple gets it right. My iPhone and MacBook are more than just tech—they are the tools that keep my world connected. From writing and researching to managing The Narratives, my work flows through them. They allow me to create, to learn, to document. But beyond that, they are the bridge between thought and execution. Ideas mean nothing without a way to bring them to life, and these devices help me do just that.
More Than Just Objects
Of course, life isn’t about material things, and if I had to let go of everything, I’d still have my faith, my family, and my resilience. But some objects become part of our journey, shaping how we express ourselves and navigate the world. These three? They’re not just possessions—they’re part of me.
