In moonlight’s glow, her radiance would soar,
Lips like roses, elegance she wore,
Through nights, we’d share our dreams, our fears,
Till dawn would break, wiping our tears.
Beneath the sun, a library’s embrace,
Or a college bench, our secret space,
Her coat, a gift, to keep her warm,
A hug exchanged in the morning’s charm.
With courage in love, like Romeo’s quest,
Families divided, we faced the test,
Caught in the act, we fled in fright,
But our love persisted, through the darkest night.
Separated, she was forced away,
I tried to rescue, but led astray,
We moved on, new lives to start,
But fate had a different script to impart.
A year passed, a call in the night,
She ran, and I couldn’t let her from my sight,
This time, we married in a haste,
A new beginning, in a different place.
Yet warring families, and mental strife,
Drove a wedge into our life,
Separated, hearts torn and frayed,
A love once strong, now starting to jade.
We moved on, new lives begun,
Thinking of each other, under the same sun,
But she departed, promises broken it seems,
Leaving behind a trail of shattered dreams.
For twenty years, a punished soul,
In a self-made prison, an endless toll,
Met her mother, forgiveness in my sight,
Wiped her tears, seeking the path to the light.
Now, I look ahead, the end draws near,
To do things right, to release the fear,
Perhaps, in the beyond, our souls will mend,
A love that transcends, a tale without end.
